How to connect my wallet?

Updated over a week ago

To use Synthetix, all you just need is an Ethereum compatible wallet (EVM Wallet).

In the future, you’ll also be able to sign in with email, Google, or Telegram once those options are live.

⚠️ ACCESS NOTICE

The exchange is currently in a closed, whitelisted phase.
Only approved wallet addresses can trade right now.

The platform will open to the public at a later time (date not yet announced). To stay updated, please follow the official Synthetix X (Twitter) account for announcements.

Using an EVM Wallet

An EVM wallet is both your digital wallet and your account for interacting with Web3 apps.

Common types include:

  • Browser extensions (e.g., MetaMask, Rabby)

  • Mobile apps (e.g., Coinbase Wallet, Rainbow)

  • Hardware wallets (e.g., Ledger, Trezor)

💡 Tip: Choose a wallet you trust. Do your own research before deciding.

How to get an EVM Wallet

  1. Install a wallet app or set up a hardware wallet.

  2. Follow the setup instructions carefully.

  3. Write down your seed phrase and store it securely offline.

  4. Add a small amount of ETH to your wallet to pay for gas fees.

💡 Tip: Never share your seed phrase, not even with Synthetix support.

Connecting your Wallet to Synthetix

  1. Click 'Connect Wallet' in the top-right corner.

  2. Select your wallet.

  3. Your wallet will open a connection request.

  4. Approve the connection with your wallet.

Quick Troubleshooting

  • No wallet detected? Make sure your wallet is installed, unlocked, and ready.

  • Wrong network? Switch your wallet to Ethereum Mainnet.
